What type of butane should I use in my IM Corona Lighter?

IM Corona, used to in fact offer their own brand of butane, however this is no longer produced.

It is recommended to use a high quality, highly refined butane. We offer many types of butane at Cigar Manor that will work perfectly with your IM Corona Lighter.

Just don't use the stuff your local mart or gas station carries, this will almost 100% clog up the butane jets on your lighter.

Where do I place the Boveda Humidification Packs?

Unlike refillable humidifiers such as credo or crystal gel jars, Bóveda Humidipak’s can be placed anywhere in your humidor, even directly in contact with your cigars, without the risk of damaging your cigars. So you can lay them on the top, on the bottom or on the sides.

What is the difference between Cigar Caddy and Ciguardian Humidification Gel Jars and PG Solution?

The main difference is what is in the solution. CigarTech has a unique solution that they actually purchased from Xikar. The solution has an added benefit of acting as a tobacco beetle trap. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of have a tobacco beetle in your humidor, they will make a beeline to the humidification jar, ultimately protecting your cigar collection. Also, the Ciguardian hydro-gel jar is a two-way (both active and passive) product so it  will maintain 70% humidity with zero chance of over- humidification.

What are Electronic Piezo Lighters?

With an electronic piezo type lighter, a flame ignites when an electronic spark created by a device called electronic piezo results in combustion with butane gas flowing through the internal burner cylinder. The electronic piezo flame is visible like any other normal flames. Ideal for soft and natural burning of cigars and cigarettes. Ignition failure will occur in high altitude.

Refilling Your Butane Lighter Warning!

Never fill or empty any torch or lighter over a sink (or similar well) or surface depression.

Why? Butane gas is heavier than air and may collect in low spaces, and ignite if sparked. Always refill your torch in a well ventilated room and always allow gas to stabilize for 60 seconds before attempting to ignite.

About Jet Torch Lighters (wind resistant)

Jet Torch Lighters (wind resistant)
The working mechanism is almost the same as jet turbo flameless lighters without a burning catalyzer. Instead of creating a broad flame aided by a burning catalyzer, jet torch lighters create a thin, needle-like blue flame. The degree of heat created by this blue, thin flame is more intense than a burning catalyzer flame. Since jet torch lighters shoot out a straight blue flame, they allow the user to visually pinpoint an area where the flame should hit. Ideal in quickly creating an even burning of cigars. Ignition failure will occur in high altitude.

Why does Daniel Marshall still use foam block/glycerine hydration systems?

Daniel Marshall Inc. has in fact, used the crystal gel type beads in their humidifiers in the past.

Please keep in mind that setting up a humidor is more like a science rather than a simple plug and play device. It takes time to set up your humidor, it may, in some cases, take a few weeks until your humidor is stable at the RH you are comfortable.

They choose to continue using what is essentially the Credo Humidifier for a few main reasons. The Credo system is simply the longest actively used way to humidify your cigars within your humidor. It is also highly flexible, if you need to bump up your humidity, simply add a little more distilled water. If you need to reduce the humidity, leave the humidifier out of the humidor for a day (then re-install)

If you would like further information on this, you may contact Daniel Marshall via here.

Question: What is a Lean-Burn Lighter?

About the "Lean-Burn" Jet Flameless Lighter.
The "Lean-Burn" system is the latest technological advancement in lighter engineering. A Revolutionary lighter for the 21stcentury.

The "Lean-Burn" system generates a stable combustion by setting the catalyzer in the middle of the internal burner cylinder which in turn, generates a secondary gas combustion.

This mechanical enhancement results in two revolutionary achievements. First, it drastically reduces the gas consumption rate of a lighter by 50%. For example, it enables a user to smoke 10 cigars a day or 20 cigarettes a day for 60 - 120 days without refilling. Second, it allows the lighter to work in high altitude places, where the amount of oxygen is limited.
